President Joe Biden is pushing for Mexico to slow the amount of illegal border crossings into the United States.
According to data obtained by CBS news, approximately 300,000 individuals are expected to have crossed the border illegally in December 2023 alone. The total estimated number of illegal immigrants that came into the United States in 2023 is 2.5 million.
Biden is now seeking help from Mexico President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador for help is slowing down the illegal border crossings. Mexico said that they had made “important agreements” with the U.S., though details of the agreements were not released at that time.
On a recent trip to Mexico, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with Lopez Obrador behind closed doors to discuss what Republican Speaker Mike Johnson called, “the worst border crisis in our nation’s history.” Johnson said more in his press release in December 2023, stating,
“At a time when America is experiencing the worst border crisis in our nation’s history, it is unconscionable to hear the Biden Administration’s announcement that Secretaries Mayorkas and Blinken discussed with the President of Mexico amnesty for illegal immigrants. The United States must focus on policies that deter — not attract — people attempting to come here illegally, and the smugglers who profit from the catastrophe at our border.
This development further demonstrates the Administration has no real intention of solving the humanitarian disaster and immediate national security crisis their policies have created.
President Biden needs to stop vacationing and take immediate steps to stop the flow of illegal immigration into our country. Our nation’s security and sovereignty depend upon it, and the American people demand it.”

Biden critics point to ending policies like Title 42, which allow the government to take emergency action on immigration issues. For instance, during Covid, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention used Title 42 to give border patrol agents the authority to expel illegal immigrants at the border.
Under the Biden administration, Title 42 was ended. The White House put out a statement just prior to Title 42 ended, saying in part,
“The Biden Administration is marshalling available authorities and resources from across the Federal Government to help ensure the border is secure and well-managed when the Title 42 public health order eventually lifts. DHS and DOJ are surging asylum officers and immigration judges to review asylum cases at the border more quickly – with the aim of reducing initial processing times from months to days.”

Americans are more desirous to see changes at the border according to a recent CBS News YouGov poll.
In September, 55% percent believed the Biden administration should be tougher on the illegal border crossings. That number has since increased to 63%.
The same poll also saw a drop from Americans who said the Biden administration should be easier on illegal border crossings. That number went from 19% to 16%. Finally, the poll said the number of people who felt the administration was handling the situation correctly decreased from 26% to 21%.
One reply on “Biden Pushes Mexico to Help with Illegal Border Crossings”
It is obvious from the start that the Biden Admin sought to amplify the invasion of illegals into the USA to alter voting demographics via Census counts for Democrats, as well as make them available for adding to voting rolls, and to create a Cloward-Piven type of saturation for sewing chaos and instability in metropolitan areas. This is a criminal agenda attempt.
