Former President Donald Trump said in a press conference that his campaign brought in $34.8 million in small donor donations within the first 10 hours after his felony conviction was announced.
Yesterday, for the first time in American history, a former President of the United States was convicted of a crime. Trump blasted the conviction afterward, calling the trial a “sham.”
Within an hour of Trump’s conviction, WinRed, the platform for many Republican candidates, had crashed.
According to Trump campaign advisors Chris LaCivita and Susan Wiles, almost 30% of the donations came from individuals who had never used the WinRed platform. They blamed the crash on WinRed due to high traffic volume.
“From just minutes after the sham trial verdict was announced, our digital fundraising system was overwhelmed with support, and despite temporary delays online because of the amount of traffic, President Trump raised $34.8 million dollars from small dollar donors.”

Donations to Political Action Committees from several big pro-Trump organizations have still not been released on their numbers after the conviction was announced.
Charlie Kirk’s organization, Turning Point Action, announced that it had raised over $1 million for ballot-chasing operations in several swing states right after the conviction. He posted on X,
“Turning Point Action’s BALLOT CHASE project in Arizona, Michigan, and Wisconsin has received over $1,000,000 in support this afternoon from multiple donors. This is directly funding hundreds of full-time staff on the ground in these three key states in coordination with the Trump Campaign.
We must win.”
